St Patrick’s Day can be a fun holiday to celebrate with the whole family but there’s also a pretty good chance you’ll end up with bright green teeth from dyed snacks and drinks when it’s all over! This year, opt for a healthy green treat that’s good for your belly and your mouth. These smoothies are so good, you might have to pinch yourself!

Super Green Super Food Smoothie
This super green smoothie is the perfect snack for St Patrick’s Day! The kale gives it a mouth-healthy kick with calcium and Vitamin B while Calcium strengthens teeth, and B vitamins help treat and prevent gingivitis (gum disease).

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 cups kale, packed
  • 2 tbsp chopped mint, packed
  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of apple juice

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. You can add more ice to the mixture to make it slushier if you prefer that consistency. You can also add more mint to your taste, or garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Cleansing Avocado Apple Smoothie

A proper oral health routine should incorporate mouth-healthy foods on a regular basis for the best results. Make it a point to incorporate more leafy green vegetables, healthy proteins like nuts and yogurt, and drink more water, which keeps teeth clean and helps fight cavities.
