WHAT ARE THEY?
Also known as composite fillings, these are tooth-coloured glass and plastic mixtures that cover a decayed tooth. Along with restoring teeth, white fillings can also be used for cosmetic purposes.
Modern composites can be blended to match the exact colour of the patient's’ teeth. Because of this, worries about whether the filling will be conspicuous can be demolished. The filling also bonds with the remaining part of the tooth, which can help prevent breakage or cracking. On top of that, composites are less expensive than gold fillings.
